Abbey Reznicek is a lifelong lover of visual storytelling, learning from her mother—a photographer—as a girl, and later graduating from film school. While studying film, the Lord directed Abbey towards not just an artistic call, but to her vocation: “I never thought I would get married,” she says. “I discerned religious life and after being told by my spiritual director that I should go to the film school I had my eye on, I met my husband and realized God was calling me to another vocation—one I never thought would be for me! I've found that my vocation has fulfilled me in ways I never could have imagined and I fall more in love with my husband and son every day because of the grace I've received from it.”
Abbey and her husband Josh loved writing and shooting comedies together in school, and their love for storytelling continues to play a role in their lives. Abbey Rez Photography was established in 2017, with Abbey and Josh shooting weddings as a team and seeking always to express their couples’ love stories through beautiful imagery.

I tell my clients my photography business is more than just a business for my husband and I. We are passionate about encouraging couples and helping strengthen marriages through capturing the beauty of the sacrament.
I think photographs have a huge potential to recall the joy of the day and inspire those loving thoughts for your spouse on a daily basis every time you see the prints hanging on the wall. When life gets crazy and kids come along, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness. But taking time to remember the day you said I do is a simple way to inspire a deeper love for your spouse in the everyday ordinary.
